The Kia Carnival is available with massive benefits worth up to Rs 2.10 lakh for the month of September. This makes the Carnival the first model from Kia’s India line-up to be offered with any cash benefits. This move has been made in order to boost the sales of the luxury MPV.
- Benefits include exchange bonus, 3-year/unlimited-km maintenance.
- All variants can get the rear seat entertainment package for free.

These include a 90-day EMI holiday (begin paying EMI, 90 days after purchase) and a Low EMI scheme, which has monthly instalments as low as Rs 767 for the first six months of the tenure. There is also a Flexible EMI scheme which allows for 50 percent lower EMI cost for the first 3 months of every year of the loan tenure.
What is the Kia Carnival and what does it rival?
For those who need a quick refresher, the Carnival is Kia’s premium MPV offering. While it can be compared to the Toyota Innova Crysta which currently dominates the premium MPV segment, the two models don’t directly compete. This is because while the Carnival is larger, more powerful and better equipped, it is also noticeably more expensive.
The Kia Carnival can be had in three trim-levels – Premium, Prestige and Limousine, with seating for either 7,8 or 9 people.
What engine does the Kia Carnival use?
Under the hood, the Carnival is only available with a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine that produces 200hp and 440Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via an 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. The fuel efficiency or mileage of this 2-tonne-plus MPV is an ARAI-rated 13.9kpl.
What else is Kia working on?
Kia is gearing up to launch its third offering in our market – the Kia Sonet on September 18, 2020. The Sonet will compete in the compact-SUV segment against the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.
