TVS has announced its ‘Expert on Wheels’ doorstep service programme, which aims to provide customers periodic maintenance service at their doorsteps. The company says the initiative will be accessible via over 300 dealerships across the country, and that customers can avail of it by calling their nearest dealership and scheduling a service.
The company has also mentioned that dealers have been instructed to follow a sanitisation protocol and that their staff will be mandated to wear a PPE suit. The dealers are also utilising thermal scanning and enabling digital payments to ensure minimum contact.
Through the lockdown, TVS has kept customer service helplines and Road Side Assistance (RSA) accessible to all customers. The free service, warranty and AMC services in the duration of lockdown were also extended.
TVS isn’t the first manufacturer to introduce a doorstep service programme. Last week, Royal Enfield introduced its ‘Service on Wheels’ programme, which offers a similar experience.
In other news, July was a positive month for TVS, in terms of sales. The manufacturer reported dispatches of 2,43,788 units in July 2020 – a 17 percent increase from the 2,08,489 units in July 2019. Importantly, it is a 68 percent month-on-month increase over June 2020’s sales of 1,44,817 units.
